Almost unreliable truck I've owned.
It did non meet my any of my expectations. I've already owned the big three other brands and I wanted to step out of the box and effort something new. That was a big fault after two months of ownership. It had so many issues you name it it had it from electrical to suspension to transmission and let's not forget paint faded issues. My brand new 2017 Nissan Titan XD at the fourth dimension spent more than spent x months off and on combine at different dealerships. They only knew how to sell the truck but had no clue on fixing recurring bug, to name a few lol. Permit's begin manual, electrical, ability steering, pause, brake related issues, pigment starting to fissure and fade within 7 months of ownership. Till this twenty-four hour period the list continues... Smh

Interior is nice in this truck, tons of storage which I need. Electronics are nice, but the NAV system definitely needs an update. Super comfortable and handles well. Gas mileage is what'southward expected but already 4mpg ameliorate than my sometime truck.

And then I finally retired my 2002 Duramax after 16 years of great service. What to get? As I've gotten older, my towing needs have been reduced equally I've downsized my campers. Over time I went from large fifth wheels to our current 35' drag behind which weighs just over 9,000lbs loaded. Since the married woman was starting to complain about the rough ride of our 3/4 ton HD truck, I started looking at 1/ii ton since in that location were many configurations that should accommodate our weight. Equally I started to do my inquiry, my decision was that a 35' canvas backside a 1/ii ton truck was not a good idea, primarily because virtually of these trucks have gotten lighter over the years. And simple physics will tell y'all that you want some weight in the truck to booty a big camper. Well that, and the very all-time weight distributing anti sway hitch you can afford. One truck intrigued me, though. The Nissan Titan XD had added weight, primarily by building a stouter frame and adding heavy duty brakes. In one case I started looking more closely, information technology was too an bonny piece of machinery. About important, my wife was happy with the ride. Although they offered a Cummings diesel fuel, I was looking gas, primarily because this is my daily driver, and many short trips are just not what diesel is built for. Looking at reviews on YouTube, a straight comparison of this truck in gas vs. diesel fuel proved that the gas engine was upwards to the task, in fact it out pulled the diesel on the Ike in Colorado. Bank check information technology out, Then I went all the mode out to Texas from SC to buy one, with depression miles and plenty of warranty left. (Starting in 2017, it'due south bumper to bumper 5 years and 100,000 miles, nice). Had a nice 1,300 mile bank check out ride abode, and it was a very comfortable large touring vehicle. I was impressed. Even so, it needed a towing examination. Well, we had scheduled a 4 day trip to a campground I Georgia prior to buying, so I got the take a chance pretty speedily. Having read all well-nigh towing with gas vs. diesel, I was frankly amazed at how well this thing handled my trailer. Certain, I knew the trailer was there, merely no more than so than it was behind my Duramax. We had hills on the interstate and on secondary roads, and yes, it shifted more, but I never saw annihilation near the red line equally it downshifted. In fact, either down or up shifts ever got close to iv,000 rpm and my overall mpg was between 8 and 9 every bit I expected. And so I was a happy camper. However am, past the style. This is a gorgeous truck, I opted for some of the bells and whistles, but not all. Saved 500lbs on payload getting a gasser, and am saving at the pump every calendar week. And then, so far, and so adept, will update if that changes.

The Titan XD is a great truck for buyers who need a 3/4 ton truck that has the price and handling of a ane/2 ton truck. Information technology has plenty of power with the Cummins motor and is a joy to drive. Much smoother than my previous 1/ii ton truck.

Honey everything virtually this truck and then far. Bought it afterward we got the eighth rubber recall on our 2014 Ram diesel equally well as a ECM failure. Getting 16.vii mpg driving mixed city and highway while empty. Pulls our 7000 pound 5th cycle but as well at the same 10 mpg. Kept the Ram in case the XD wasn't up to the task. Putting it upward for sale. Don't sympathise reviews that phone call the v.0 Cummins irksome. While not as quick as the new diesel Fords I have driven it is quicker than my Ram with its 3.42 rear axle. The 5.0 Cummins is also quieter than the 6.7 Cummins.

TodayvI sit on the 95 in Vegas because the transmittion is trash. This is the fourth fourth dimension we've had trannies probs. Offset was a full replacement by Cummings. Its updates were but done. Thinking of buying a ford... this towing BS is incorrect, this transmission faults is a travesty for a 63k truck.

Totally regret purchase

Purchased with Cummins diesel make new. Multiple returns to the dealership for warranty work. Latest issue acquired major engine shut downwardly and white exhaust. Turns out issue was DEF sensor, system was consuming DEF abnormally fast. Only 4 days afterward DEF sensor warranty repair, engine light turned on. Returned to dealership who is telling u.s. we demand to cough up $8k to replaced a failed catalytic converter because we're over the 50k emissions warranty (nosotros're at 77k). We are disputing this with Nissan corporate simply strongly believe the DEF sensor directly contributed to the cat failure existence that it's a major component of the emissions organisation. Nissan just started incorporating Diesel engines in their line of vehicles around 2015/2016, based on that alone we should have never purchased. Still this BS warranty issued is settled, later the truck gets fixed past a Real diesel repair shop, nosotros'll be getting rid of it.
